Daniel Peterson

Daniel received his BS in Exercise Science from Old Dominion University, and then graduated with his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Marymount University in 2013.

He has gained years of experience by working with a diverse population of patients with most of his expertise being in Sports Medicine and orthopedic injuries. Daniel has been fortunate enough to have incredible hands on opportunities with the Washington Redskins (Commanders), numerous high school and collegiate teams, Walter Reed Hospital, National Rehab Hospital, John’s Hopkins Sports Medicine surgical team, and National Sports Medicine Conferences, as well as participating in the Wounded Warrior Project, Special Olympics, and numerous volunteer opportunities. These experiences have provided him with a well-rounded base of knowledge to ensure his patient’s optimal outcomes.

Daniel’s additional passions within the field include incorporation of a functional medicine approach with a focus on underlying autoimmune pathology, lumbopelvic stability training, and in-depth movement screening/analysis for preventative health.

Outside of the field of Physical Therapy, Daniel is a die-hard Washington Commanders/Capitals fan, and enjoys spending his free time hiking, grilling, exercising, and being with his wife, 2 kids, 2 black labs, and 2 guinea pigs.
