Dr. Janie Fitzgerald Schneider is a Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist and Doctor of Physical Therapy with a passion for helping patients move confidently and get back to the activities they love. A Richmond native and graduate of St. Catherine’s School, Janie earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia in 2012 before earning her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Lynchburg College in 2016.
Janie has been a valued member of the Center for Physical Therapy team since 2016 and is a licensed physical therapist through the Virginia Board of Physical Therapy. She is also the co-owner of Center for Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine alongside her husband, Vinny.
Janie specializes in orthopedic and manual physical therapy and is certified in Dry Needling. She also has a strong passion for women’s health and pelvic floor physical therapy. Her clinical interests include treating headaches, balance deficits, runners, and women’s health conditions. She takes a personalized, hands-on approach to care, working closely with each patient to develop a treatment plan that supports their individual goals and lifestyle.
Outside of the clinic, Janie enjoys spending time with her family and friends, running, and cheering on the University of Virginia and Ohio sports teams with her husband and their two young daughters.
