Meet the Owners
Center for Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine is proudly owned and operated by husband-and-wife team, Janie Fitzgerald Schneider and Vincent Schneider.
Janie, a Richmond native and graduate of St. Catherine’s School, earned her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Virginia before completing her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at Lynchburg College. During her training, she developed a passion for orthopedic manual physical therapy and joined Center for Physical Therapy after graduation, and eventually becoming co-owner.
Vinny, originally from Alliance, Ohio, earned his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Capital University and his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Lynchburg College. After beginning his career in Blacksburg, Virginia, he relocated to Richmond in 2017.
Janie and Vinny met while attending physical therapy school and quickly discovered a shared passion for helping people recover from orthopedic injuries and return to the activities they enjoy most. They believe physical therapy should feel personal, supportive, and family-centered.
Today, Janie and Vinny are proud to own Center for Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine, continuing a tradition of trusted care that has served the Richmond community for more than 20 years. Alongside their exceptional team, they are dedicated to helping patients move better, feel stronger, and live healthier lives.
